Join SFRC and Doctor of Physical Therapy, Carolyn Latham, on August 16th for an educational talk on how to proactively work towards staying injury-free. Carolyn will discuss how staying injury-free, first and foremost, starts by working on your general posture and body position; improved posture and body position leads to more efficient running and more efficient running means you’re less likely to become injured. Then, she will dive deeper into specific injuries that are commonplace with runners and how you can work on preventing them. Carolyn will provide easy and simple exercises and stretches that can be implemented in your own home and education for why they will help you be more efficient and less likely to become injured. About Dr. Carolyn Latham, PT

Dr. Carolyn Latham is the owner and head physical therapist of Verity Physical Therapy & Wellness. She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee where she simultaneously ran D-1 Cross-Country and Track and captained both teams her Junior and Senior years. Carolyn went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Belmont University.

Carolyn is an Iron(wo)man and a four-time marathoner including the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon. She firmly believes that staying mentally and physically fit are very important aspects of life.

Carolyn is passionate about helping others reduce pain and achieve their goals. Whether her patient’s goal is to run a marathon, strengthen their core after having a child, walk to work instead of sitting on the bus, take a new workout class with confidence or sleep through the night without pain, Carolyn will fully invest her skills and knowledge to help her patients achieve their goals.
