And just like that, it’s February in the year of 2022! Weren’t we just celebrating New Years…yesterday? Whatever the case, a new month means we get to do our most favorite thing: run with our friends at Trail Sisters – Marin!

We say it a lot but this week’s route is a real fun one, inspired by one of the earliest friends of the shop, Jenny Maier (Up Marincello, Down Old Springs), and one of the vert-ier routes we’ve been able to put together in the Headlands (14.5-miles / ~2,700’ elevation) from the shop that’s under 15 miles. We don’t remember ever doing this route before so get ready for some gorgeous climbing out there.

As with all our group runs that are led by the Trails Sisters, an early group will be leaving from the shop at 7:30 am with a no-drop supportive. If you ever wanted to join a SFRC group run but had some apprehensions of getting lost or losing touch with the group, this is a fail-safe way to make sure you don’t.

Also as always, we’ll have a shorter route for those who don’t want to go the full way yet, or maybe just need a shorter shakeout for the Kaiser SF Half the following day. Whatever the case, make sure to say hi to your fellow trail runners and racers who are doing the Golden Gate Trail Run, put on by Coastal Trail Runs on Saturday!
