SFRC Running Team Exclusive – Santa Cruz Track Club XC Challenge

A 4.15 mile, 2-loop cross country race on the fire roads of the upper UC – Santa Cruz campus. This race is part of the Pacific Association-USATF cross country Grand Prix series. The race starts and finishes at the open meadow above the UCSC Firestation on Chinquapin Road. Registration opens at 8 AM alongside the fire road above the small parking lot above the Firestation. Womens race 9AM, Mens Masters 9:45AM, Mens Open 10:30AM Limited parking at the Crown College parking lot. Additional parking is at the East Remote Parking Lot on Hagar Drive. Covid vaccination (or negative test results within the past 7 days) affidavit and COVID Symptom questionnaire will need to be filled out by all participants when picking up race bibs.
Some of the proceeds of the race this year will go towards the Gabriel Zimmerman Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund supports undergraduate students in the Division of Social Sciences who are committed to public service. Gabe Zimmerman graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2002 and was working for Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords as her Director of Community Outreach when he was tragically shot and killed.
