Job Title: Seasonal Part-Time Key-Holder (May-August)

Location: San Francisco Running Company – Mill Valley & San Anselmo, CA

Position Summary: San Francisco Running Company is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Key-Holder. This position requires weekend availability (Friday-Sunday) and involves responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, handling financial transactions, ensuring store cleanliness, providing exceptional customer service, and possessing a strong knowledge of the running industry and related brands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Opening and Closing: Open and close the store on scheduled shifts, ensuring security measures are followed.
• Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and reconcile daily sales.
• Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, sizing, and recommending appropriate running gear.
• Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest trends in the running industry, including footwear, apparel, and accessories. Educate customers on different brands and products.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking merchandise, tidying displays, and ensuring the store’s appearance is inviting to customers.
• Key Management: Responsible for the security and management of store keys during shifts.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with store management and team members to achieve sales goals and foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Weekend availability (Friday-Sunday) is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and passion for running and related products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Proven ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
• Physical ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
