Come join Dr. Erin Stewart, orthopedic specialist and owner of Alamere Acupuncture, on the evening of Tuesday, October 25th at SFRC Mill Valley for a discussion and free clinic about the treatment and prevention of running injuries with acupuncture.

6:00 – 6:30 pm – Discussion: Acupuncture for pain relief and injury management (unlimited spots)

6:30 – 8:00 pm – Clinic: Complementary acupuncture sessions (limited to 5 participants)

About Dr. Stewart 

Erin has specialized training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries and pain, including the completion of The Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program with Dr. Whitfield Reaves. She has mentored with and works alongside Dr. Jenny Nieters, team acupuncturist for the San Francisco 49ers, at Alameda Acupuncture and also has a private practice in Mill Valley. Erin loves supporting athletes in achieving their goals.

How much does it cost to sign up for an acupuncture session? 

Free! Register here (5 spots available on a first come first served basis)

Do I need to have an active injury to sign up for a session?

Nope!

What can I be treated for during the session? 

  • Pain and injuries (does not have to be a running injury!)
  • Any hindrances to performance and/or recovery including sleep issues, digestive upset, general tension, stress, anxiety
  • General balance / relaxation

Do I have to sign up in advance? 

Yes. There are 5 sessions available offered on a first come first served basis. When you register, you will be sent a brief set of intake forms. We kindly request you complete these in advance.

What happens during the session? 

After a brief 1:1 consultation, you will receive acupuncture treatment for ~15 minutes.

How long are sessions? 

Start to finish the treatments last 15-20 minutes.

What do I wear? 

Loose fitting clothing that can easily be pulled up to the knees and elbows and/or site of your injury.
