Join Tahoe to Auburn: The History of the Western States Trail on Thursday, February 22nd for an unforgettable evening of Western States History, trailblazing, and fundraising! This special event will feature a showing of the movies “30 Hours” and “They Crossed the Mountains”, followed by a Q&A panel discussion hosted by Paddy O’Leary.

The panel will include three distinguished guests; Hal Hall, 30-time finisher of the Tevis Cup and co-executive producer of “They Crossed the Mountains”, Shannon Weil, Co-Founder of the Western States Endurance Run, and Wally Hesseltine, the subject of the short film “30 Hours”.

Please RSVP for this event as space is limited. We kindly ask for a suggested donation of $15, which will go towards the Western States Trail Museum foundation. The museum’s vision is to provide educational and historical exhibits about the Western States Trail’s once-populated towns, mining camps, and trail-side locations of historic importance.

In addition, for participants of the inaugural running of Marin County’s newest race, The Big Alta, there will be early packet pickup available at San Francisco Running Company from 4:30-5:30pm on Thursday, February 22nd. This will be a great opportunity to prepare for the race and attend the History of The Western States Trail event. Food and drink will not be available for purchase, so please feel free to bring your own snacks. We kindly request that you dispose of your trash appropriately to help keep the venue clean. Don’t miss this chance to delve into the rich history of the Western States Trail. Get your seat early and join the panelists for an engaging discussion before the screenings begin.
